Born in Córdoba, where he began his singing studies in the conservatory with the tenor Juan Luque. He then attended Universität Mozarteum de Salzburgo y Centre de Perfeccionamiento Plácido Domingo del Palau de les Arts in Valencia, where he broadened his studies. He completed his training in Berlin and Madrid alongside John Norris, Fran Parrado and tenor Joel Prieto.
Since his debut at Die Zauberflöte at the Villamarta Theater in Jerez he has been invited to prestigious opera houses: Royal Opera Wallonie de Liege (La Vera Costanza), Ópera de Lausanne (Traviata), Royal Ópera Wallanie de Lieja (The Opera: Orpheus and Eurydice) Palau de les Arts Queen Sofia of Valencia (Café Kafka, Turandot, La Bohème, I due Foscari), Comunale Theater of Treviso (La Vera Costanza), Theater du Capitole de Toulouse (Doña Francisquita), Teatro del Silenzio (Turandot), Villamarta de Jerez (Norma, Falstaff, Macbeth and Traviata), Teatro Real de Madrid (La Vera Costanza, Dead Man Walking), Granada International Music Festival (The Maese Pedro Altarpiece) and Teatro Campoamor in Oviedo (Don Giovanni, Le Nozze di Figaro and Rigoletto), Santander Music Festival (Cendrillon and Mozart and Salieri), Teatro Cervantes in Málaga (Così Fan Tutte), Gran Teatro de Córdoba (Tosca, Les Contes d’Hoffmann, The Rapture in the Serrallo) , Teatro Calderon in Valladolid (Otello). In 2017, he was invited by master conductor and music director Zubin Mehta to Israel to sing the opera Turandot with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra together alongside Gregory Kunde and the soprano Anna Pirozzi.
Distinguished Mozartian singer, also emphasizes his involvement in chamber music and symphony in prestigious concert halls such as Palau de la Música in Valencia, Hall of the mirrors of the Gran Teatro del Liceu, Liedertafel in Salzburg, Opera Forum Lausanne, Auditorium in Haifa (Israel), Jerusalem International Convention or Euskalduna Palace of Bilbao, along with formations such as Forma Antiqua, Philharmonic Orchestra of Israel or the Philharmonic Orchestra of Malaga.
His passion for the new avant-gardes in music has led him to make several world premieres such as: Sinfonía Córdoba and Escenas de una primavera alemana by Lorenzo Palomo, the zarzuela Policías y Ladrones by Tomás Marco in Teatro de la Zarzuela in Madrid, the opera El Guardián de los Cuentos by Miquel Ortega in Baluarte de Pamplona. The song cycles Hijo Mío by Jesús Torres and Caminos de la tarde by Hermes Luaces, together with the pianist Aurelio Viribay.
Among his latest hits we can find: L’elisir d’amore in Gran Teatro de Córdoba and Teatro Campoamor in Oviedo, and Mozart and Salieri‘s opera by Korsakov, in Fundación Juan March de Madrid, in which he played Mozart, harvesting the unanimous applause from the specialized critic.
He has worked with Zubin Mehta, Jesus Lopez-Cobos, Riccardo Chailly, Omer Meir Wellber, David Parry, Corrado Rovaris, Manuel Hernandez Silva, Mark Wigglesworth, Oliver Diaz, Steven Mercurio, Marzio Conti, Christopher Franklin and distinguished stage directors as Calixto Bieito, Emilio Sagi, Carmen Portaceli, Jean-Louis Grinda, Leonard Foglia, Paco Azorin, Rita Cosentino, Guy Joosten, Lindsay Kemp, Davide Livermore, José Luis Castro and Paco López among others.
His discography includes (in CD) Turandot para Decca directed by Zubin Mehta and on DVD for Accentus music La Bohème by Puccini directed by Riccardo Chailly. He has recently been working with Naxos the Sinfonia Córdoba of Lorenzo Palomo, recording alongside Jesús López-Cobos.
