His passion for the new avant-gardes in music has led him to make several world premieres such as: Sinfonía Córdoba and Escenas de una primavera alemana by Lorenzo Palomo, the zarzuela Policías y Ladrones by Tomás Marco in Teatro de la Zarzuela in Madrid, the opera El Guardián de los Cuentos by Miquel Ortega in Baluarte de Pamplona. The song cycles Hijo Mío by Jesús Torres and Caminos de la tarde by Hermes Luaces, together with the pianist Aurelio Viribay.
Among his latest hits we can find: L’elisir d’amore in Gran Teatro de Córdoba and Teatro Campoamor in Oviedo, and Mozart and Salieri‘s opera by Korsakov, in Fundación Juan March de Madrid, in which he played Mozart, harvesting the unanimous applause from the specialized critic.
He has worked with Zubin Mehta, Jesus Lopez-Cobos, Riccardo Chailly, Omer Meir Wellber, David Parry, Corrado Rovaris, Manuel Hernandez Silva, Mark Wigglesworth, Oliver Diaz, Steven Mercurio, Marzio Conti, Christopher Franklin and distinguished stage directors as Calixto Bieito, Emilio Sagi, Carmen Portaceli, Jean-Louis Grinda, Leonard Foglia, Paco Azorin, Rita Cosentino, Guy Joosten, Lindsay Kemp, Davide Livermore, José Luis Castro and Paco López among others.
His discography includes (in CD) Turandot para Decca directed by Zubin Mehta and on DVD for Accentus music La Bohème by Puccini directed by Riccardo Chailly. He has recently been working with Naxos the Sinfonia Córdoba of Lorenzo Palomo, recording alongside Jesús López-Cobos.
